3/30/10:Mercury Retrograde Press informs me that we have so many pre-orders in from wholesalers and libraries that we're having to submit a second order to cover the launch stock. I'm left giggling inanely and have to have a nice lie-down at the news.
4/8/10: MRx informs me that we've had another big batch of orders from Baker & Taylor. Ditto prev.
5/6/10: Ditto previous; also, checking WorldCat reveals 28 libraries now listing "Secrets of the Sands" in their catalogs. Most are already checked out.
5/22/10: First solo book signing at College of William and Mary Bookstore. I am informed by a young lady that her mother checked out my book from the library, and they both loved it so much that she came to the signing to buy a signed copy.
5/24/10: Library catalog count up to 39; again, mostly checked out.
5/28-5/31: BaltiCon 44; my first BaltiCon and a great time throughout!
6/2/10: Press release from Mercury Retrograde Press announcing a finalized contract for the next three books in the "Children of the Desert" series.
6/18/10: WorldCat library count up to 55; including a library in Whangerai, New Zealand!
6/24/10: WorldCat library count at 57; potential for book signing at Virginia Beach and Newport News Barnes & Noble; comments beginning to appear on Amazon, B&N.com, and Goodreads.
6/26/10: FantaSci in Chesapeake, VA; one day of free fun at a library--what's not to love here?
7/17/10: WorldCat listing hits 61! Also, book signing at College of William and Mary Bookstore; wonderful as always, looking forward to the next one!
7/27/10: WorldCat count at 63; another great review of "Secrets" posts over at Green Man Review.
