Chaos and confusion ruled the weekend for me; mostly my own doing, as I was completely unfamiliar with the setup of Wicked and had expected to be put to work on panels or such. Some difficulty with reading the schedule led me to miss a large number of the events, and an inability to stay awake until 4 am led me to miss even more. Overall, however, it was a thoroughly enjoyable time; I met lots of fantastic people, saw dozens if not hundreds of outrageous, innovative, and gorgeous costumes, watched incredible performances by skilled, creative, and dedicated folks, and came away resolved to return again next year. With a hip flask filled with the strongest coffee I can find. And maybe some NoDoz. And lots, lots, LOTS more money!
My recommendation: if you've never been to Wicked, and you're looking for a three-day party that throws restraint and boundaries out the window in favor of having a roaring good time, this is one event you really owe it to yourself to attend, at least once in your lifetime.
